UNIVERSITY OF NEW ORLEANS (March 8, 2018)- UNO Students will partner with NOLA Tree Project to plant 60 trees and a fruit orchard at UNO this Thursday, March 8, 2018 as part of a resiliency project headed by Student Body President Nigel Watkins. Students raised funds to purchase the trees, and brought NOLA Tree Project in to manage the planting. UNO students and staff, and students on a spring break trip from St. Louis CRU will plant together to raise awareness about the importance of trees for storm water management.
