New Orleans -With the opening of the iconic pink-stucco-ed Brennan's restaurant just around the corner, it's no surprise that Ralph Brennan has pink on the brain! But that's not the only notable pink organization in sight this October, as the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group is leading the charge to "Think Pink," renewing the "NOLA Goes Pink" campaign to engage chefs, restaurants and the New Orleans dining public in combating breast cancer. 'NOLA Goes Pink' will take place throughout October 2014 -- Breast Cancer Awareness Month -- when dozens of popular regional establishments will donate a percentage of proceeds to the New Orleans Chapter of Susan G. Komen [SGK] to benefit local awareness, screening and research.
NOLA Goes Pink raised over $20K for the cause in 2011-2012. For the second year, Ralph Brennan's Heritage Grill is honored to host the #KickDat kick-off event for Susan G. Komen at 5pm on Monday, September 29, attended by New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead, cancer survivors and supporters, and participating chefs in their fittingly distinctive pink jackets. Starting October 1, each chef will be designating dishes or drinks on their menus to raise funds for SGK throughout the month; look for some to be hosting special happy hours and events of their own.
With the following establishments joining forces with Ralph Brennan's café b, Heritage Grill, Red Fish Grill and Ralph's on the Park in 'thinking pink,' your only real challenge will be 'Where to begin?!'
