NOLA CHRISTMASFEST ANNOUNCES 2016 EVENT DATES FOR INDOOR FESTIVAL

Event Organizers Announce Expansion of Ice Skating Rink and Amusement Rides

(New Orleans, La.) - NOLA ChristmasFest, fast becoming one of the largest indoor holiday events along the Gulf Coast, is slated for Friday, December 16 through Friday, December 30, 2016, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Convention Center officials announced that the Fourth Annual NOLA ChristmasFest will be expanded for this year's holiday event after an overwhelming success in 2015 in which nearly 40,000 visitors from all across the South enjoyed the indoor Christmas festivities.

NOLA ChristmasFest 2016 will once again feature the popular ice skating rink, holiday characters, amusement rides, themed inflatables, arts and crafts, and much more inside the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center along the Mississippi Riverfront. The only authentic ice skating rink in New Orleans will be expanded this year to accommodate more skaters. Preliminary plans also call for the return of the Gingerbread House exhibit and more diverse offerings for younger children.

The popular children's rides including the walk through maze, Kringle Carousel, Winter Whirl, Snowball Fight and the Snowy Summit Climbing Wall will all be back under one roof at this year's NOLA ChristmasFest. Children and families will be able to take memorable Christmas photos with Santa and his North Pole friends.

NOLA ChristmasFest, a 15-day event all under one roof, will display thousands of dazzling lights and more than 60 Christmas trees decorated by New Orleans businesses, and Convention Center Boulevard will be draped in holiday décor with more than one million mesmerizing lights synced to traditional and contemporary Christmas music.

NOLA ChristmasFest will be open every day during the two week event including special hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. NOLA ChristmasFest will offer discounted parking at nearby parking lots. For more information, please visit www.nolachristmasfest.com.
