New Orleans to Welcome 22,000 Professionals for NADA Show 2025, the Auto Industry Event of the Year, January 23-26
National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), a customer of New Orleans & Company since 1973, returns to New Orleans for the 11th time, bringing a huge economic impact and charitable donations to our community
NEW ORLEANS - January 18, 2025 – New Orleans & Company, the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and its hospitality partners are preparing to welcome a customer of more than 50 years, and one of the most prominent meetings and conventions in the world, when the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) brings a 22,000-person gathering to New Orleans, January 23 - 26, 2025.
The 2025 Show marks NADA’s 11th time in New Orleans for this major annual meeting. They were last here in 2017 to celebrate their 100th anniversary. NADA first met in New Orleans in 1973 at what is now known as the Caesar’s Superdome.
In addition to filling multiple hotels throughout the city, utilizing all 1.1 million square feet of available space at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, and leaving a huge economic impact, NADA is going above and beyond by making two major charitable donations to New Orleans.
- NADA is donating a brand-new Ram 3500, purchased from Hebert’s Town & Country Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Shreveport, La., to Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana. This essential new vehicle will expand Second Harvest’s capacity to serve communities across South Louisiana by supporting the Makin’ Groceries Mobile Market. The Mobile Market is a traveling grocery store that sells fresh produce, proteins, dairy, and dry goods at affordable prices in neighborhoods identified as food deserts.
- In the wake of the New Year’s Day terrorist attack on New Orleans, NADA also has donated $25,000 to the United Way of Southeast Louisiana New Orleans Relief Fund to provide direct support to victims and their families. Donations will help cover medical expenses, funeral costs, trauma counseling, and more.
“The National Automobile Dealers Association cherishes its long-standing bond with New Orleans, which hosts our convention with professionalism, joy and of course, style, every four years,” said Mike Stanton, NADA President and CEO. “In light of the recent tragedy, we are proud to donate $25,000 to the fund to support the victims and their families. NADA always has an extensive security plan for every Show and city that hosts our organization annually. As such, we have a robust plan in place for the 2025 NADA Show in New Orleans. NADA will continue working with city officials, including the New Orleans Police Department, to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.”
Walt Leger, III, President and CEO of New Orleans & Company, the official destination sales and marketing organization for the New Orleans tourism industry, said, “It is almost impossible to express in words how much we value our partnership with NADA. We are deeply grateful for their 50-year commitment to New Orleans and their charitable donations this year more than ever.”
Leger continued, “The 2025 NADA Show is a powerful economic engine. Meetings and conventions are the foundational layer of our tourism economy. Convention attendees typically stay longer, spend more and engage more small businesses throughout the community to produce their events. We are pleased to show NADA attendees and exhibitors once again why New Orleans is Built to Host. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome them again for many more years into the future.”
“Over four dynamic days, more than 22,000 attendees will explore the latest in automotive technology and trends across nine exhibition halls and over 100 meeting rooms. This event showcases our city's capacity for large-scale gatherings, embodying our motto, Built to Host. In partnership with New Orleans & Company, we eagerly anticipate welcoming NADA guests and introducing them to the vibrant culture of our city," said Elaine Williams, Interim Chief Commercial Officer for the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
