New Orleans Ranked No. 2 Among America's Most Charming Cities by Travel + Leisure
Reader poll recognizes New Orleans as a top city in the U.S.
New Orleans - February 1, 2017 - New Orleans was named one of the Most Charming Cities in America by prominent travel magazine, Travel + Leisure. New Orleans ranked among other top U.S. cities including San Francisco, Nashville, New York City and Boston.
Each year, Travel + Leisure surveys loyal subscribers and asks them to weigh in on their favorite cities in America. "America's 20 Most Charming Cities" were selected based on the destinations' "ability to captivate" and delight travelers. Travel + Leisure's readers found charm in walkability, captivating neighborhoods and friendly atmospheres, all of which can be found in the Crescent City.
"Vibrant neighborhoods, unique locally-owned businesses, the living history felt in our streets and so much more are what draws visitors in to explore. Our authentic spirit would not be prevalent without New Orleanians, the culture bearers of our city who make visitors feel like locals and bring charm to every corner," said Stephen Perry, President and CEO of the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau.
