New Orleans (October 26, 2015) - From December 7 - 29, 2015, 21 hotels throughout the city are offering travel agents rates starting at $49 per night through the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau (NOCVB)'s "Christmas New Orleans Style" FAM trip. Many hotel packages include discounted parking, free Wi-Fi, suite upgrades and complimentary breakfast for travel agents.

"The holidays in New Orleans are an experience like no other," says Kim Priez, senior vice president of tourism at the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau. "It is the perfect time of year for travel agents to visit and enjoy the great deals and holiday spirit while learning more about New Orleans and all that the city has to offer, during the holidays and year round."

While taking advantage of the hotel rates from the NOCVB and entertainment during the "Christmas New Orleans Style" FAM, travel agents can also request a VIP Pass to use during their stay. The pass provides travel professionals exclusive access to discounts and special offers at restaurants, museums and other popular attractions around New Orleans.

Holiday festivities include multicourse pre-fixed dinners at world-renowned restaurants, free concerts performed by local musicians, Cajun bonfires and a holiday-themed parade. The city also offers light displays including Celebration in the Oaks, consisting of more than one million lights illuminated in the 1,300 acre New Orleans City Park and Christmas in the District, an indoor exhibit footsteps from the French Quarter.
