Campaign running through November 18 encourages diners to celebrate life at New Orleans restaurants

NEW ORLEANS – October 20, 2021 – Following the enormous success of NOLAxNOLA, the country’s first-ever club-based music festival, New Orleans & Company has launched the New Orleans Fall Food Celebration. The campaign, which runs now through November 18, is designed to provide much-needed support to New Orleans restaurants that have lost business due to the recent Delta surge and Hurricane Ida.

More than 235 restaurants are participating. Reservations can be made at neworleans.com/fallfoodcelebration99. The goal of the campaign is to support New Orleans chefs, servers, cooks, suppliers, bartenders, drivers, kitchen staff, restaurant owners, managers and all those who make their living by a thriving restaurant industry.

“Food and music are the two towers of our city’s brand. With NOLAxNOLA, we drove people to music clubs, and now we are taking the same approach with restaurants through the New Orleans Fall Food Celebration,” said Stephen Perry, President and CEO of New Orleans & Company, the official destination sales and marketing organization that drives New Orleans cultural economy. “Whether it is a graduation celebration, a marriage proposal, or a new business partnership, some of the best moments of our lives are spent over meals in restaurants. We invite New Orleanians and visitors to celebrate those special life moments again, of course while following safety guidelines.”

NOLAxNOLA was co-founded by Paul Peck and Sig Greenebaum in partnership with New Orleans & Company as a branded series of live music events throughout the city during the dates of our lost New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in October 2021. The goal of NOLAxNOLA was to keep New Orleans’ music venues, musicians and culture bearers strong and supported during a difficult time, while following all safety guidelines. More than 300 shows at 35 music clubs and venues took place between October 7 – 17, making the first-year event an enormous success and the first club-based music fest in the country. Plans are underway for NOLAxNOLA in the Fall of 2022.

The New Orleans Fall Food Celebration and NOLAxNOLA represent a new way of doing business for New Orleans & Company, in which the organization creates new festivals and product offerings to drive the local economy, in addition to its core mission of marketing and selling the city to visitors.
