This press conference is announcing the start of NOLAxNOLA; designed to safely and immediately support clubs, musicians and culture bearers in a time of financial peril, which runs from October 7th-17th.  

Speakers will include: 

  • J. Stephen Perry, President and CEO of New Orleans & Company 

  • Howie Kaplan, Owner of Howlin’ Wolf 

  • Mike Martinovich, Manager of Red-Light Management and Managing Director of Preservation Hall 

  • Mark Romig, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of New Orleans & Company 

  • Stanton Moore, Founding Member of Galactic 

  • Ben Jaffe, Creative Director of Preservation Hall 

  • Kermit Ruffins, Kermit Ruffins and the Barbeque Swingers, Owner of the Historic Mother-in-Law Lounge 

Masks will be required. 

Parking will be available along St. Charles Avenue as well as in the back of the building in the parking lot which can be entered on Prytania Street or Josephine Street. 

WHY                                                                                                                                                            

An unprecedented coalition of New Orleans’ iconic nightclubs and music venues, in partnership with New Orleans & Company, have proactively combined to create NOLAxNOLA, a branded series of live music events throughout the city. The goal is to keep New Orleans’ music venues, musicians and culture bearers strong and supported during this difficult time, while following all safety guidelines.
