In New Orleans, the balmy air is filled with live music, animated conversation and the sounds of a good time. Take it all in from these great balcony bars, where you can grab a drink and enjoy the view of parades, fellow revelers and impromptu dance parties on Bourbon Street

Bourbon Heat
Yes, this nightclub seems to have everything you could want: a secluded courtyard and carriageway, a traditional bar, exclusive VIP bottle service areas and a high-energy dance floor with go-go dancers and live DJs. But perhaps the best feature at Bourbon Heat is the 50-foot balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. Grab a drink from the bar and head outdoors for a party under the stars.

Krazy Korner
Cross off two New Orleans experiences in one night — partying on a balcony and listening to live jazz, blues and zydeco. With the largest covered balcony on Bourbon Street and a three-for-one happy hour, Krazy Korner is, understandably, a must-visit party spot for locals and visitors.

Bourbon Cowboy
If you’re coming to New Orleans to get a little wild and crazy (and why wouldn’t you?), make sure to add Bourbon Cowboy to your list of places to visit. This saloon-style bar is a popular spot for bachelor and bachelorette parties, with famous three-for-one drinks, mechanical bull rides and a Bourbon Street balcony that can be rented for private events. So grab a drink (or three) and give that bull a try.

The Bourbon Pub & Parade
This 24/7 party hot spot is New Orleans’ largest gay bar and nightclub, and a popular destination for Mardi Gras and Southern Decadence festivals. With karaoke sing-alongs, themed parties, drag shows, go-go boys, music videos and a balcony overlooking Bourbon Street, The Bourbon Pub & Parade is the place to go if you’re out, proud and ready to party.

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville
Escape to a carefree paradise at this Caribbean-style restaurant and bar, where you can enjoy classic Southern fare — think fried-shrimp po boys and Cuban sandwiches — while sitting on the Decatur Street patio. Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville is a great place to watch live music, and if the name is any indication, it’s also a perfect spot to order a frosty margarita.
