“New Orleans was a premier dining city before Hurricane Katrina, and it will remain one for years to come. Morton’s has built a successful restaurant here, catering to New Orleanians and visitors to the city alike. As our friends return to the downtown area, we will be here to offer the fine dining experience that guests worldwide have come to recognize from Morton’s,” said Vedran Komazec, general manager of Morton’s, New Orleans. “We’re excited to be coming back. It’s not only our responsibility to our employees and the community, but it’s our moral obligation to support the city itself.”
Reopening Morton's on the second level of One Canal Place, 365 Canal St., is a homecoming for dozens of people, Komazec said. Nearly half the employees of Morton's in New Orleans will return for the first time since Hurricane Katrina struck.
