Meauxbar Showcases the Versatility of Louisiana's Seasonal Ingredients with Summer Dinner Series
Executive chef John Bel and the Meauxbar team introduce six themed dinners that span the summer season

NEW ORLEANS (June 23, 2017) - Starting on Wednesday, June 28, Meauxbar launch a playful summer dinner series that will highlight the bounty of local ingredients and local purveyors - an approach to sourcing at the foundation of the restaurant's culinary and beverage programs. In total, the series will feature approximately 75 locally-sourced ingredients that demonstrate the range and versatility of Louisiana's produce and products.

Each dinner will feature carefully-crafted four- or five- course themed menus by executive chef John Bel, playful desserts by pastry chef Ruby Bloch, and pairings by bar director Gillian White - throughout the summer.

Meauxbar's summer dinner series will kick off on June 28 with a summer harvest dinner. In conjunction with The Eat Local Challenge, all ingredients will be sourced within 200 miles of Meauxbar's front door, a philosophy that is integral to the goals and ideals of all of the LeBlanc+Smith restaurants. Among the featured purveyors are Covey Rise Farms, Higgins Seafood and Chappapeela Farms. The evening's pairings will feature beers and spirits made in South Louisiana and Mississippi.
