Since opening in 2009, Le Foret has been a go-to destination for an evening of sophisticated fine dining for locals, visitors and foodies seeking critically-acclaimed French and Creole inspired contemporary cuisine. Now, the charming 4-story CBD restaurant will introduce daytime delights, with a brand new lunch menu, served Thursdays and Fridays, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Beginning Thursday, September 4th, diners and downtown business folks in a crunch for time can enjoy an array of culinary delights, along with a special power lunch two-course Chef's menu. To celebrate the launch of lunch, Le Foret will offer the Chef's Two Course Prix-fixe Menu, along with a dessert at a discounted price of 50% throughout the month of September.

"Due to popular demand, we've decided to open for lunch," says Director of Operations, Luke Smith. "We'll still deliver the same quality, amazing ingredients and stellar service, as well as some lighter lunchtime fare."

Executive Chef Brandon Felder's new lunch menu will feature delectable starters ($6-$10) including Fried Truffle Mac & Cheese Squares with parmesan, smoked cheddar, gouda truffle cream sauce, couscous and herbs; Crabmeat Cheesecake - crab fingers, white wine, green onions and Abita Amber BBQ sauce; and Pulled Pork Belly Sliders served on brioche with pickled onion, Napa cabbage slaw and a sugarcane glaze. Entreés ($14-$22) will include a 6 oz. Seared Beef Tenderloin served with truffle parmesan pommes frites, haricots verts, and wild mushrooms with a Madeira veal demi-glaze; Rabbit Cassoulet - a spicy tomato broth, green onion deer sausage, confit rabbit, baby limas, sautéed maurepas and rabbit offal topped with a puff pastry; to the Parmesan Crusted Oyster Salad - mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, pickled onions and shaved mirliton tossed in a champagne vinaigrette. Lighter options will include Jumbo Lump Crabmeat and Boiled Gulf Shrimp Salad - heirloom tomatoes, frisée, arugula, roasted tomato vinaigrette; Seared Tuna Salad with a ponzu vinaigrette and candied almonds; and Oven Roasted Gulf Fish with Covey Rise veggies. Finishing on a sweet note, lunch patrons can enjoy dessert favorites ($6 each) like the Paris Brest and White Chocolate Bread Pudding.

Felder will also offer a Chef's Prix-fixe Two Course Menu ($27 per person). The two course menu allows guests in a time-crunch to enjoy two delicious courses in under an hour. Diners can start with a choice of Tomato Gazpacho with heirloom tomatoes and jumbo lump crabmeat or Sugarcane Glazed Pork Belly Johnny Cakes served with fried leeks and peach puree. Second course options include a Foie Gras & Peach Injected Pork Loin with braised greens and peaches or Manchester Quail served with oyster cornbread stuffing, pumpkin puree, candied pecans and fire roasted peppers. Throughout September, diners can enjoy a 50% discount on the prix-fixe, along with a complimentary dessert.
