Louisiana SPCA’s Annual Carnival Returns with Live Music, Local Flavor, and Community Impact
NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana SPCA’s Carnival, presented by Hahn Enterprises and HUB International, returns for its fourth year on Saturday, October 24, 2026, bringing together live music, local flavor, and family- and dog-friendly fun to the Louisiana SPCA’s main campus at 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd. in Algiers. The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m., following an exclusive VIP Patron Party beginning at noon.
This vibrant paw-ty with a purpose supports second chances for animals in the Louisiana SPCA’s care and throughout the community, including the adoptable animals featured at the event.
Carnival-goers of all ages will be swept into a lively world of toe-tapping music, mouthwatering local eats, and whimsical carnival flair. Headlining this year’s celebration is Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and New Orleans music legend George Porter Jr., bringing his iconic New Orleans sound to the stage.
Other dazzling delights joining the fun at this can’t-miss event include:
-
Behind-the-scenes look at a veterinary clinic
-
The new Cat Theater, sponsored by Jordan Poole, featuring entertaining feline videos and opportunities to interact with adoptable cats
-
Debbie with a D, returning as event emcee
-
Roaming circus-themed performances throughout the day
-
A kids’ inflatable obstacle course and arts & crafts
-
A dog activity area for four-legged guests
-
The Homebrewer Beer Garden Experience, featuring local beer tastings and the chance for guests to vote for a crowd favorite
Families and their four-legged friends are invited to savor local flavors in a festive atmosphere, with food offerings from Southerns, Glizzie’s by Poppa, and Sno-La, along with a curated VIP culinary experience featuring local favorites including Waska, Bacchanal, Banh Mi Boys, Chef Anh Luu, and Crepes Rendez-Vous.
VIP guests will enjoy exclusive access to the Patron Party, featuring specialty bites, refreshing beverages, live entertainment and unique experiences such as a mystery champagne wall presented by Beyond the Bar.
The Vet for a Day Experience, sponsored by MetLife Pet Insurance, lets kids step into the shoes of a real vet! They’ll get hands-on fun in a working vet clinic and even “adopt” a cuddly plush pet to take home as a souvenir.
“Every smile, every adopted animal, and every act of support at our annual Carnival fundraiser helps build a better future for animals in our care,” said Ana Zorrilla, CEO of the Louisiana SPCA. “Together, we are creating a future filled with love, compassion, and second chances.”
General admission is $30; children under 12 enter free. Pooch Passes are $15. Festivities begin with a VIP Patron Party at noon, followed by general admission from 1 to 4 p.m. The event is cashless, and parking is free.
An online silent auction runs concurrently, featuring nearly 100 items. Bidding opens on October 17 and closes at 3:30 p.m. on October 24.
