Longue Vue's fall workshop features author DeNeice C. Guest. The lecture entitled "Drink the Harvest" highlights garden to glass tips from her book of the same name, and how garden-fresh fruits and vegetables can be used to make juices, wines, fermented drinks and syrups.
Drink the Harvest features recipes to create delicious drinks like Prickly Pear Cactus Juice, Big Wow Grape Cider, Garden Mint Wine, Luscious Limoncello, Rose Hip Tea and Kombucha.
The workshop takes place on November 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. and includes a basic winemaking kit for guests. Tickets are $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers and can be purchased in advance at www.longuevue.com.

DeNeice C. Guest has been studying wild herbs and gardening for over 30 years, and she has been making and brewing herb-based tonics, beverages, and medicines for the last decade. DeNeice is a charter member of the Asheville E-Z Gardeners, and created the club's signature wine, E-Z Gardeners Passionflower-Lemon Balm Wine.
