Scheduled for the afternoon of September 28 at 1 p.m., the Grand Golden Gamble is New Orleans' newest fall fundraiser and features a "reverse drawing" worth $5,000 total in gold coins raffled to three lucky winners. Guests will enjoy several food stations, an open bar fabulous summer prizes and a football zone to catch afternoon games at the two-hour afternoon affair held in the classic casino-cool atmosphere of Longue Vue's Playhouse.

Proceeds from the Grand Golden Gamble will support Longue Vue's educational field trips, garden-based activities in the Lucy C. Roussel Discovery Garden for children and the changing arts exhibition program. For the inaugural event, a portion of money raised will go towards the purchase of a new butterfly lifecycle interactive exhibit sign for the Discovery Garden.

The Grand Golden Gamble is co-chaired by Ashby Geary Navarro and Julie Terrell Radford. "Longue Vue House and Gardens continues to provide extraordinary opportunities for New Orleans. In particular, the unique Discovery Garden appeals to parents who know it as a stimulating place where their kids can learn and explore first hand," says Radford. Navarro added, "Longue Vue is a hidden treasure in our city, and I'm thrilled to help share it with our community."

Tickets to this playful affair are $75 and include entry into the gold coin drawing. Only 325 tickets will be sold.
