NEW ORLEANS (September 22, 2016) - LeBLANC+SMITH has promoted another team member from within. On October 1, Gillian White will shift from Sylvain and assume the role of bar director at Meauxbar. White will work alongside executive chef John Bel and general manager Roger Eyles to execute Meauxbar's bold and authentic take on French-inspired cuisine.

White joined the LeBLANC+SMITH family in August 2015 as a bartender at Sylvain and quickly assumed management responsibilities. White's promotion is the hospitality firm's third internal promotion this year and occurs in advance of the start of the North Rampart streetcar.

"Gillian will be perfect at Meauxbar. Beyond her own personal style and easy-going nature, she has a sense of self that allows her to humbly create amazing drinks tailored to each guest's preference," explains Robert LeBlanc, founder and owner of LeBLANC+SMITH. "While everything she does is technically spot-on, she puts the fun of drinking and the guest experience above all else."

A graduate of Johnson & Wales in Providence, Rhode Island, White has extensive experience with and knowledge of spirits and cocktails, which has led to several accolades, including acceptance to Tales of the Cocktail's Cocktail Apprentice Program in 2014. Guests to Meauxbar will see a transition to a new, fall cocktail menu reflecting a collaboration of the Meauxbar bar staff under White's leadership.
