LE PETIT THEATRE CELEBRATES HOLIDAY SEASON WITH SECOND ANNUAL PRODUCTION OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL

NEW ORLEANS (November 7, 2019) – Le Petit Theatre is kicking off the holiday season with their second-annual production of Charles Dickens’ beloved tale, A Christmas Carol. Miserly and menacing moneylender Ebeneezer Scrooge learns lessons in love, generosity, and redemption when he is visited by a host of spirits on Christmas Eve. Nominated for 7 Big Easy Awards and named Times Picayune/nola.com’s Best Play of 2018, this heartwarming Victorian classic is filled with magic, ghosts and holiday cheer. The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate calls it "an impressive spectacle driven by first-rate production values and boisterous performances."

The cast includes Bob Edes, Jr. as Ebenezer Scrooge; John Neisler as Jacob Marley/ Christmas Future; Zeb Hollins III as Ghost of Christmas Present; Julia Delois as Ghost of Christmas Past; Sean Patterson and Cammie West as Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig; Mary Pauley as Mrs. Dilber; and Curtis Billings and Kate Kuen as Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cratchit. Also featured: Michael A. Newcomer, Sean Riley, Trey Ming, Erin Fitzpatrick, Darren Hayes, Elizabeth McCoy, and Joe Nierle.

Directed by Artistic Director Maxwell Williams, the creative team for A Christmas Carol includes Evan Adamson (Scenic Designer), Kathleen Van Horn (Costume Designer), Andrew F. Griffin (Lighting Designer), Kevin O’Donnell (Sound Design), and Nick Hussong (Projection Designer).

LPT is also announcing the return of Fête de Fezziwig, a family fundraiser supporting Le Petit’s arts and education programs. Beginning at 12:30 PM on December 14, 2019, this benefit event features cocktails and mocktails, light bites and holiday treats, a silent auction, ornament making, holiday crafts, and a special matinee performance of A Christmas Carol at 2 PM.  Guests will also have the opportunity to take photos with costumed performers before the show. All proceeds benefit Le Petit Theatre, a cornerstone of the New Orleans arts community since 1916.
