Independent NASD Broker Dealers/Investment Professionals from Across the U.S. Converge on New Orleans

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 25, 2006

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Metropolitan Convention & Visitors Bureau (NOMCVB) is pleased to announce the arrival of independent NASD brokers from across the country. One hundred fifty attendees will converge on New Orleans July 26 – 29, in search of opportunity at the 92nd consecutive investment conference hosted by Financial Services Exchange, Inc. (FSX). Meetings will be held at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel.

Held quarterly in various regions of the United States, these premier conferences bring together some of the nation’s top investment professionals with public and private companies seeking financing opportunities. Among the 20 companies presenting at the New Orleans conference is Ultra Pure Water Technologies, based in Louisiana. In the past 23 years, companies from various industries have either been discovered or experienced rebirth as a result of their presentations at FSX conferences. That’s what makes New Orleans such a good match for the FSX mission.

“Sometimes it only takes one connection to launch a new business concept or breathe new life into a stagnant company. That’s what makes FSX conferences so valuable.

These companies are exposed to a captive audience of independent NASD broker dealers looking for their next great investment opportunity,” said Judy Ensweiler, executive director of FSX. “The city of New Orleans has similar goals right now.”

To help draw visitors to the New Orleans conference, FSX has lined up some nationally renowned keynote speakers including Jordan Kimmel, frequent guest of CNN and CNBC, developer of the Magnet Stock Selection Process and host of “Profitable Investing with Jordan Kimmel” on the VoiceAmerica Business Network. Other speakers include: John Busacca, who serves on the Business Conduct Committee for the NASD Board, C. Michael Carty, who regularly appears on CNNfn, and B. Jeffery Brooks, and New Orleans native with Adams and Reese, LLP, Washington, D.C. office.

New Orleans continues to host successful meetings and conventions. The new year brought many small groups to the city, leading up to June’s American Library Association’s annual meeting, where 17,000 visitors signaled an important milestone in New Orleans’ tourism industry. New Orleans is ready and more than capable to welcome conventions and their attendees to the city.
