New Orleans, Louisiana (November 19, 2014) - The landmark Royal Sonesta New Orleans is preparing to transport your entire family on an unforgettable holiday adventure that truly captures all the magic and joy of the season. The hotel's elegant Grand Ballroom will be transformed into a 'Royal Kingdom' just for the special occasion. Beginning Saturday December 13th and running through Monday December 22nd, a Royal Teddy Bear Tea experience provides a magical setting where memories are made and childhood dreams come true.

Your Royal Kingdom will be filled with favorite holiday characters with plenty of festivities planned for children of all ages. Little ones will be in awe as they interact with the Sugarplum Fairy Princess, sing-a-long with Rudolph and Frosty, and dance with the very 'huggable' Royal Teddy Bear. A special story time with Mrs. Claus takes the children on an imaginary journey in Santa's sleigh during a dramatic reading of The Night Before Christmas. By special invitation straight from the North Pole, members of the New Orleans Saintsations Cheerleading Team will be on hand to meet and greet the children at each of the teas. The team will help herald the arrival of the Big Man himself-that's right--Santa Claus who will be taking time out of his busy schedule check his 'nice' list-not once-but twice!

Executive Chef Kevin Goodwin and his talented culinary team have prepared a festive menu designed to please the whole family. Adults will feast on a three-tiered assortment of holiday sweets, freshly baked pastries, and mini sandwiches including Traditional Cucumber and Dill Spread on White Bread, Shaved Turkey and Smoked Gouda with a
Dijonaise Spread on Whole Grain Bread, or Shrimp Salad with Tri Colored Peppers and
Chiffonade Romaine on Brioche. A selection of fine teas with all of the trimmings is offered as well as locally roasted freshly brewed coffee for those who prefer a hot cup of java.

Youngsters will be treated to their very own high tea presentation complete with an assortment of holiday cookies, fresh fruits and vegetables, and mini selections of Fried Macaroni and Cheese Doubloons, Chicken Tenders with Honey Mustard Dip, and
Mini Holiday Corn Dogs. A warm cup of Royal Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows tops it all off just in time for the children to gather round Mrs. Claus for a story.

Royal Teddy Bear Tea seating times are available at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. VIP Admission is available for $85 for adults and $65 for children. The VIP experience includes a photo with Santa, a 2014 commemorative teacup, and champagne for the adults. General Admission is $69 for adults and $49 for children. All ticket pricing includes tax and gratuity. Should you choose to capture the memory with professional photos, picture packages with Santa Claus are available for purchase before and after each tea time.

As part of the Royal Sonesta's ongoing holiday initiative with Children's Hospital New Orleans, the official Royal Teddy Bear ornament is for sale at each of the teas. With a $25 donation, you'll receive one of the specially created limited-edition holiday keepsakes,which also make perfect gifts since 100% of the net proceeds benefits the hospital. Families are also encouraged to bring along an unwrapped gift for a little girl or a little boy. All toys collected will be transported to the hospital for distribution on Christmas Eve.
