NEW ORLEANS – February 7, 2020 – On February 5, Harrah’s New Orleans hosted members of 47 local nonprofit organizations. The organizations gathered together with representatives from the New Orleans City Council and Harrah’s New Orleans to receive $112,500 in grant funds.

Since 2006, Harrah’s New Orleans has provided $225,000 in annual funding to community organizations through the New Orleans City Council-Harrah’s Community Grant Program. Through the program council members award the funds at their discretion to area nonprofits that complete the grant application process.  Organizations that support environmental, cultural and youth causes were among those that received a portion of the grant funds.

“It is always a special occasion when we join our City Council leaders and present these funds to organizations that work to improve the quality of life for citizens across the metro area and preserve New Orleans’ unique culture,”  said Dan Real,  Caesars Entertainment regional president and Harrah’s New Orleans general manager.  “New Orleans is our home and we are proud to invest more than $5 million annually to local area nonprofits.”
