More than 2 million fans will be part of the most celebrated music event of the past few decades when the tour of the summer kicks off on Thursday, June 23 in Detroit! Guns N' Roses launched their return in spectacular fashion beginning with the Troubadour in Los Angeles on April 1 for their first live performance in more than 20 years followed by back-to-back arena shows in Vegas filling the house to the rafters, then Coachella for two weekends (April 16 and April 23) including a trip south of the border for two sold out stadium shows in Mexico on April 19-20...April saw almost a half million fans alone in North America! Guns N' Roses' are Axl Rose, Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (lead guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboard), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums), and Melissa Reese (keyboard).
Following the group's 1985 formation, Guns N' Roses injected unbridled, unrivaled, and unstoppable attitude into the burgeoning Los Angeles rock scene. The spirit went on to captivate the entire world with the release of their 1987 debut Appetite for Destruction -the best-selling U.S. debut ever, moving 30 million copies globally. In 1991, the seven-time platinum Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II occupied the top two spots of the Billboard Top 200 upon release. Over the course of the past decade, Guns N' Roses have performed sold out shows and headlined festivals worldwide following the critically acclaimed release of 2008's RIAA platinum-certified Chinese Democracy. Six studio albums later, Guns N' Roses are one of the most important and influential acts in music history and continue to set the benchmark for live performances connecting with millions of fans across the globe.
Chris Stapleton boldly introduced himself to the public at-large in 2015 with the release of his breakthrough debut album, Traveller. Released in May on Mercury Records Nashville, Traveller, initially debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart with more than 27,000 albums sold, making it one of the best-selling first weeks by a debut country artist in 2015. It's also currently the top selling country album of 2016 and second best across all genres (only surpassed by Adele). Following a historic turn on the CMA Awards-where Stapleton became the first artist to win Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the same awards-Traveller became the first album to re-enter the Billboard 200 all-genre album chart at No. 1, where it stayed for two straight weeks. The breakthrough success continued earlier this year at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, where Stapleton took home two awards for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance (Traveller). Most recently, Stapleton won six awards at the 51st Annual ACM Awards-Album of the Year (for Traveller as both artist and producer), Song of the Year (for "Nobody To Blame" as both artist and songwriter), Male Vocalist of the Year and New Male Vocalist of the Year. With the six wins, Stapleton ties the record for most ACM Awards won in a single year (only Garth Brooks and Faith Hill have previously won six in the same year).
For Billy Talent, the period following the release of their fourth album, Dead Silence, in 2012 was one of celebration. The momentum generated by that album's string of Top 10 Juno Award-nominated singles carried through to the 10th-anniversary festivities for the band's 2003 debut, which was performed in its entirety in a series of special retrospective performances in 2013. The band's decade of alt-rock radio dominance was further enshrined with the release of the Hits compilation, which charted Billy Talent's journey from hungry, scrappy, rec-centre punks to international festival headliners. Being together for almost 20 years and having travelled thousands of miles in vans, buses and planes turned the four piece not just into a band, but into a family - a tight brotherhood that will challenge and tackle any obstacle in front of them. Equipped with countless awards (such as multiple MuchMusic Awards, Juno Awards, MTV Awards and even two of those rare German Echo Awards) and having played the biggest festival stages worldwide, Billy Talent will release their new studio album, Afraid of Heights, on July 29 and are ready to take on their next mission: to complete their world domination.
The Cult ascended the ranks of the music world to achieve global status, selling millions of albums and touring around the world. February of 2015, The Cult released their first album in three years and their 10th studio album, "Hidden City". "Hidden City" is a brutal and beautiful masterpiece and the third and final part of their critically acclaimed trilogy that began with 2007's "Born into This" and was followed by 2012's "Choice of Weapon". The Cult completed a successful "Live in the Hidden City" European tour and continues to tour the U.S. in support of the album. The Cult are Ian Astbury (vocals), Billy Duffy (guitars), John Tempesta (drums), Grant Fitzpatrick (bass), Damon Fox (keyboards + rhythm guitar).
Skrillex is one of modern music's most influential artists - writing, producing and performing some of the biggest hits in the past several years. Based in Los Angeles, he began his career in 2004 performing in a number of alternative bands and eventually started producing under the name Skrillex in 2009. He distributed his debut EP, My Name Is Skrillex as a free download on his official MySpace page. Subsequently, he released the Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites EP in late-2010 and More Monsters and Sprites EP in mid-2011, both of which have since become moderate commercial successes. On November 30, 2011, he was nominated for a total of five Grammy Awards® including Best New Artist and won three: "Best Dance/Electronica Album," "Best Dance Recording," and "Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical." Skrillex has won a total of eight Grammy Awards and holds the world record for most Grammys won by an Electronic Dance Music artist. Skrillex has collaborated with Diplo to form the group Jack Ü, and with Boys Noize to form the group Dog Blood. He has sold over 10 Million singles to date and continues to headline some of the biggest festival around the world both as a solo artist and as part of Jack Ü.
