In its third season of hosting concerts at the incredibly intimate Old U.S. Mint, Friends of the Cabildo is proud to announce the 2014-2015 Concert Series. Kicking off the season on Friday, November 21st will be local trombonist Glen David Andrews. Andrews, the Treme Prince, will be playing for the first time in over two years at the Mint and coming off the heals of his latest studio release, Redemption. Tickets are limited to just 150 seats and are $20 for members and $30 for general admission seats.
On January 16th, Dr. Michael White will be gracing the Mint stage for the first time in two year. White, a staple of traditional New Orleans Jazz music, will also be playing the Mint in over two years as well. Local jazz band, the Panorama Jazz Band, will bookend the final concert of the year on Friday, March 6th. The group's repertoire draws on the most exciting music from around the world: funky New Orleans Jazz, tropical rhythms of the Caribbean and exotic melodies of Eastern Europe.
Tickets are on sale now for all three concerts and a member-discounted rate for a three-show package is available. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the FOC Office at (504) 523-3939. Don't miss out on these exciting shows as only 150 seats are available for each one!
