May 5th event in partnership with New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and LCMC Health to offer vaccines for job seekers, employers
Finding talented people for hospitality industry careers is the number one priority for New Orleans’ tourism industry as it begins to recover from the pandemic. That’s why New Orleans & Company, the industry’s official destination marketing and sales organization, is hosting a Job Fest – featuring the opportunity to receive a COVID vaccine - on Wednesday May 5th from 9 – 11 a.m. and 1 – 3 p.m. at the Julia Street Entrance of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, 900 Convention Center Boulevard.
Another critical component of the hospitality industry’s resurgence is safety and widespread vaccinations for all New Orleanians, our hospitality workforce as well as visitors. LCMC Health will set up a mini vaccination site at the New Orleans & Company Job Fest for all employers and job seekers. There is no cost to participate. (Note participants will receive the Pfizer vaccine, which will require a second dose three weeks later, available at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Hall J.)
Nearly 100 companies will provide career information in a socially distanced exhibition area. Some companies are prepared to conduct in-person interviews onsite and make immediate job offers. Positions are available at all levels – from entry-level to executive – at hotels, restaurants, cultural attractions and much more. Masks are required and participants are subject to temperature checks upon arrival. All COVID safety protocols must be followed.
