New Orleans, LA- FestiGals is a New Orleans based women's empowerment conference held this year from June 11-14 at the J.W. Marriott.

In its fifth year, FestiGals welcomes a diverse group of women to a variety of activities from seminars to stiletto strolls through the French Quarter. One challenge for a women's conference, is that women have obligations at home. FestiGals organizers understand that as moms as well. So FestiGals has the welcome mat out for mothers to attend.

"Moms have a lot on their plate," says Diane Lyons, FestiGals founder. "It is sometimes hard to find a trusted sitter when mom wants to get out with her friends, so we are helping mom by planning those details for her."

FestiGals has partnered with FATE, a local New Orleans nonprofit aimed at the positive education of young females in an effort to bring awareness and education. FATE hopes to arm young girls with enough information to make healthy, well-informed decisions.

Childcare will be provided on a preregistered basis on Saturday, June 13 from 10AM-2PM. Space is limited and babysitting spaces need to be secured prior to June 8. The cost of the service is $5 per child with the ratio of adult of child to caregiver of 1 to 5. More details on the babysitting service and availability can be found online at FestiGals.org.

Women ages 35 and under can also take advantage of a special rate of $340 for the Ultimate Package as well sat $85 for the Bodacious Bras for a Cause luncheon, FestiGals' signature event.

In its fifth year, FestiGals is more than just fun and games for the girls. FestiGals offers an empowerment weekend in New Orleans tailored to girlfriends. Net proceeds from this year's FestiGals are dedicated to supporting under- insured or un-insured women battling cancer. Learn more at FestiGals.org.
