Experience COOLinary New Orleans—Celebrating Dining in America’s Most Delicious City
Special August-September culinary promotion celebrates incredible cuisine with a growing list of more than 20 restaurants

New Orleans—August 2, 2010—The New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has announced the line up of world-class restaurants for the sixth annual restaurant promotion, “COOLinary New Orleans—Celebrating Dining in America’s Most Delicious City,” offering special three-course lunch menus for $20 or less and three-course dinner menus for $34 or less, throughout August and September.

The culinary event commemorates the renowned and authentic cuisine of New Orleans and its restaurant community, which stands at 1,105 restaurants strong according to Tom Fitzmorris and www.nomenu.com. COOLinary also recognizes that millions of visitors flock to New Orleans each year to experience the unique culinary treasures of the city, and offers locals and visitors alike another reason to enjoy this important aspect of the city’s culture.

“COOLinary has become a staple event in our annual line-up of cultural celebrations and events, offering locals and visitors the chance to sample world-renowned cuisine that can only be found in New Orleans,” said Kim Priez, vice president of tourism sales for the New Orleans CVB. “As New Orleanians, we are incredibly fortunate to live in a city that constantly celebrates food, which is an essential part of our culture. COOLinary New Orleans is a special commemoration, honoring our unique cuisine while celebrating the unbelievable work of our local chefs and all of their staff.”

This year’s participating COOLinary restaurants include: Antoine’s Restaurant, Bayona, Bombay Club, Bourbon House Seafood, Brigtsen’s Restaurant, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Café Amelie, Café Degas, Chef Duke’s Café Giovanni, Crêpes A La Carte, Desire Restaurant, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, House of Blues, Martinique Bistro, Mike’s on the Avenue, Mr. B’s Bistro, Mulate’s Cajun Restaurant, Muriel’s Jackson Square, Palace Café, Pascal’s Manale, Rib Room, Royal Palm Restaurant, The Pelican Club and Tujague’s Restaurant.
