On Thursday, May 21, 2015 Emeril's Restaurant - Emeril Lagasse's famed flagship restaurant celebrating its 25th anniversary this year - will host a spectacular dinner featuring Esporão wines from Portugal. The decadent, paired five-course meal, featuring dishes prepared by Chef de Cuisine David Slater, will offer guests an exceptional opportunity to taste exquisite cuisine and sample some of Portugal's most innovative and distinguished wines. The evening will be enhanced by the presence of winemaker David Baverstock; he is head winemaker of Esporão and one of the most experienced and admired winemakers in Portugal named "Winemaker of the Year" in 2013 by Wine Magazine. Priced at $125 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity, the evening kicks off with a reception at 6:30 PM, followed by dinner at 7PM. Emeril's Restaurant is located at 800 Tchoupitoulas Street in the Warehouse District. Lunch is served Monday - Friday from 11:30 AM - 2 PM. Dinner is served nightly, 6 PM - 10 PM. Reservations for the Esporão wine pairing dinner are required and can be made by calling (504) 528-9393.
