New Orleans (May 30, 2018) — Bars and restaurants across the U.S. (and some around the world) will be mixing up their favorite Negroni variations from Monday, June 4, 2018, through Sunday, June 10, 2018, and donating a portion of proceeds from each one sold to a charity of their choice. In the summer of 2013, Imbibe Magazine and Campari joined forces to launch the first-ever Negroni Week; a celebration of one of the greatest Napoli-born cocktails and an effort to raise money for charitable causes worldwide.

New Orleans’ notable participant includes acclaimed bar maven, Abigail Gullo of Compère Lapin, whose charity of choice is Centaur Stride. Based in New York, it supports both Gullo’s and Compère Lapin’s Chef Nina Compton’s love for horses and their use for the recreational enrichment of people with disabilities. Abigail’s signature creation for the week is Sicilian Negroni – Averna, Banks 5-year Rum, Punt e Mes, Nola Coffee Liqueur, and Flamed Orange Peel. Image Link: Sicilian Negroni
