(New Orleans, LA)- Due to this year's Krewe of Jingle parade route, RTA will implement the following detours on Saturday, December 3rd beginning at 11:00 A.M. and lasting through 5:00pm or until the parade has cleared all transit lines. It is recommended to plan for extra travelling time for riders who need to travel to or from the downtown area Saturday.
12 - St. Charles Streetcar: Streetcar service will stop at Erato Street. Buses will provide service from Erato Street to Canal Street via O'Keefe Street and S. Rampart Street.
47/48 - Canal Streetcar: No service between Marais Street and Harrah's Casino until parade clears Canal Street.
5 - Marigny-Bywater & 55-Elysian Fields: Buses will stop at Esplanade Avenue and Decatur Street. No service between Esplanade Avenue and Canal Street. Transfer to the Riverfront Streetcar at French Market to get to Canal Street.
10 - Tchoupitoulas: Buses will run between Audubon Park and Poydras Street until the parade ends. There will be no service between Poydras Street and Canal Street until the parade ends.
11 - Magazine: Buses will run between Audubon Park and Poydras Street until the parade ends. There will be no service between Poydras Street and Canal Street until the parade ends.
15 - Freret: Outbound buses will use S.Rampart St. instead of Baronne St. during the parade. No service on Baronne St. until parade has cleared the bus route.
16 - Claiborne: Service to and from Canal Street will take O'Keefe Street to Canal Street, turn left on Canal Street, turn left on S. Rampart Street and take S. Rampart Street to Poydras Street and resume regular route.
Lines 101, 102,114-115, Algiers Lines: Services to and from Canal St. will use the I-10 exit at Claiborne Ave to Canal St. No service on O'Keefe Ave or S. Rampart St (Algiers Lines) until Parade clears.
