Compère Lapin, one of New Orleans' hottest new restaurants by Chef Nina Compton, is now serving lunch in the Warehouse District at Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery. Lunch is available seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Small bites and cocktails are also now available at the bar from 2:30 p.m. until dinner at 5:30 p.m.

Compton opened Compère Lapin as her first restaurant after falling in love with the Crescent City during her filming of the 11th season of BRAVO'S Top Chef. Her inventive menu mixes the flavors of New Orleans, with those of Compton's Caribbean roots, her French culinary training and deep experience with Italian cuisine. "We have found our home here in New Orleans and are excited to be expanding our menu and opening our doors to our friends and family for lunch." says Compton.

First course (from $10) lunch offerings include marinated shrimp with roasted jalapeño jus; creole tomato gazpacho with lobster and corn; and beet salad with house made ricotta, pistachios and ciabatta. Inviting second courses (from $15) range from a simple hot fried chicken with summer squash slaw and oyster roll with charred cabbage slaw and chips to a more complex entrée of curried goat with plantain gnocchi and cashews and roasted snapper with kimchee broth and herbs. For the sweet tooth (from $5) diners can enjoy a daily sorbet and ice cream selection, yogurt semifreddo with stewed berries and hibiscus tea, roasted banana zeppole with rum caramel or horchata panna cotta with melon salad and melon sorbet.

Small bites, available at the bar from 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., include conch croquettes with pickled pineapple tartar sauce; spiced pig ears with smoked aioli; roasted jerk corn with lime and crispy dirty rice with sour orange mojo.

Compère Lapin is located in the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery Hotel at 535 Tchoupitoulas Street, New Orleans, LA 70130.
