Bywater American Bistro (BABs) – Bywater’s go-to spot for exceptional contemporary cuisine from chefs Nina Compton and Levi Raines – will welcome local legendary bartender Chris Hannah for its second guest bartender takeover on Sunday, August 12th from 8PM-10PM. Hannah will join BABs Head Bartender Crystal Pavlas behind the bar for an unforgettable cocktail collaboration.

For one night only, cocktail enthusiasts can indulge in creative concoctions by Hannah, the acclaimed mixologist who led Arnaud’s French 75 to a James Beard Award; and who will be opening fine dining restaurant, Jewel of the South this fall in the French Quarter. On the menu imbibers can expect both inventive and classic libations like the Bywater Cocktail – Rum, Chartreuse, Amer Picon (Amaro), Falernum, Peychauds Bitters; Vargas Girl – Gin, Pimms, strawberry, Passion Cordial, lime, mint; and French 75 – the namesake cocktail of Hannah’s home for nearly 15 years. Also available will be Pavlas’ signature cocktails including the BABs Sour – Singani 63, Chareau Aloe Liqueur, Cantaloupe and Lime; Pineapple – Plantation Pineapple Rum, Demerara, Bitters, Caramelized Pineapple; and the Take Flight – Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Passionfruit, Violet, Lemon, Grapefruit Twist.

Bywater American Bistro is located in the Rice Mill Lofts at 2900 Chartres Street in New Orleans’ Bywater district. The restaurant serves dinner, Wednesday – Sunday with seating from 5PM – 10PM and brunch, Saturdays and Sundays with seating from 10:30AM – 2PM.
