About The Maison Dupuy Hotel
Named one of the "Top Work Places in New Orleans" by The Times Picayune in May 2016, The Maison Dupuy continues its enviable reputation as a special place for hospitality excellence. Built in 1973, The Maison Dupuy is the last hotel to have been built in the historic French Quarter, as the Vieux Carre Commission banned the future development of hotels in that neighborhood in 1975.
The boutique hotel is known for luxurious French Quarter lodging that transcends the ordinary in a unique, quiet location in the heart of the charming, residential section of the French Quarter in New Orleans. Yet the hotel is also situated only two blocks from the excitement of Bourbon Street, as well as the beauty of Jackson Square, and within walking distance to all major attractions. Picturesque townhouses framed with wrought iron fences line narrow streets. Gas lamps cast a path through moonlight causing the visitor to hesitate, wondering if he's in modern America or has been transplanted somehow to an earlier century.
There are two charming venues for breakfast, lunch, dinner and the Sunday Champagne Jazz Brunch. The casual Bistreaux with murals of famous artist Toulouse Lautrec's Paris scenes, surround dining patrons while floor to ceiling windows offer splendid views of the quiet side of the French Quarter and intriguing architecture. The picturesque Courtyard is truly one of the most civilized outdoor settings in the French Quarter and a much sought after location for picturesque French Quarter weddings offering more than 2,600 square feet of space. On the business side, The Maison Dupuy offers the facilities, catering, and service to make any meeting or banquet an unforgettable occasion. With 2600 square feet of flexible meeting space, the private banquet facilities can accommodate groups of up to 200 people.
This boutique New Orleans hotel beckons you to relax and escape the hustle of modern life in one of its 187 distinctive rooms and 13 luxurious suites, each offering first-class amenities and services. As one of a small handful of hotels set inside the city's historic Vieux Carré district, The Maison Dupuy offers guests a distinct mixture of history and luxury unlike any other.
