Travel Channel turns up the heat with a first time grilling competition show, American Grilled, for the multi-platform programming, "We Are Summer," that hit the networks July 2. The fiery, hot new Host and Co-Judge, chef David Gaus, known in culinary circles for his expert take on Southern cuisine, sizzles the contestants in this high heat, high stakes challenge with surprise, indigenous ingredients to bring out the masters of the grill in select cities across the country.

American Grilled airs each Wednesday at 9PM ET thru September 24, 2014 with thirteen, one-hour episodes. You'll be at the edge of your seat for the most intense competition and just maybe, you will know one of the contestants, be it a neighbor in your cul-de-sac or a local caterer. In American Grilled grill aficionados from various backgrounds of experience, from backyard grillers to small town cooks, battle against one another in the ultimate outdoor cooking challenge. Host and renowned chef, David Guas turns up the heat on grillers across America as they compete for a $10,000 cash prize and bragging rights. In each episode, four contestants use locally sourced ingredients - blue crab in Maryland, quail in Georgia and T-bone steaks in Texas, to name a few - to test their epic backyard skills. They'll serve up delicious and original plates that skillfully showcase the grill and embrace the amazing local flavors.
