Warm Welcome From New Orleans

New Orleans & Company is here to help you!

Dear Melissa,

It is with great pleasure that we submit New Orleans' bid to host PPA’s Imaging USA in 2026 or 2027.  Our hospitality community looks forward to welcoming you to the city. You have our commitment that your event will meet and exceed all expectations.

The following includes information on our historic city such as Meeting & Event Venues, Transportation, our Hotel Grid and Hotel Map, along with details of why New Orleans should be selected.

New Orleans & Company is offering $20,000.00 to PPA to help Enhance your Imaging USA in 2026 or 2027.  We want to help you make this a special and memorable return to NOLA by helping you add ‘Local Flavor’ (Local Entertainment, Second-Line Parades, Revelers or décor, etc.), or simply help ‘elevate’ meals or receptions with a New Orleans Flair.  (To receive,  PPA will be required to sign a Letter of Intent to convene in New Orleans by June 30, 2022, and achieve 80% pick-up of the committed room block per your RFP).  I will forward more information on this under separate cover.

Our city was Built To Host and execute a successful convention for PPA. Compact and walkable to area restaurants, attractions, our footprint leads to great networking opportunities. Local entertainment and shopping are just a few steps away from the entrance of any of our downtown hotels. New Orleans offers something to satisfy every need.

Getting to New Orleans is easy. The city is centrally located and serviced by all major carriers. New Orleans opened a new $1 Billion airport terminal in November 2019. Efficient in design to reduce walking distances and improve the passenger experience, it has consolidated security checkpoints to decrease passenger wait times and improved screening capabilities for large groups of conventioneers. New Orleans airline fares are among the lowest in the nation and consistently below the US Domestic Average Fare.

Below are highlights of the Bid.  You will find more information in the Tabs below.

Testimonials

2024

New Orleans and Company knows how to roll out the red carpet for events. More than that, they know how to build relationships that matter and enhance the experience for all the participants. The ELCA Youth Gathering was a giant success due to the work of Allison and Rachel with New Orleans and Company. They welcomed us with open arms and worked their magic behind the scenes to ensure a wonderful event for our 15,000 high school students. They celebrated our successes and problem solved our challenges. Our team leaders love New Orleans for all the obvious reasons – food, culture, music, and more. I love New Orleans for the way the people of this city welcome the stranger. We aren’t strangers anymore! New Orleans is truly a city Built To Host.

2024

Our Society held its annual conference in New Orleans in April 2024.  First, let me say that our New Orleans & Company contact, Libby Fein, is absolutely the best!  She was so welcoming and helpful during both our site visit and conference.  The New Orleans & Company team is wonderful too, and our staff says thank you!  I’ve never worked with a Convention and Visitors Bureau like this, and it was a great experience!

We had just over 1,000 attendees at our conference, and everyone loved how we incorporated bits of New Orleans culture into it, thought the food, second line, etc.  Our attendees had all positive comments about the city, activities, hotel and staff.  I just wish I had more time to see more of it!

Thank you again for all your efforts to make our attendees feel welcomed, at home and excited about the city of New Orleans!”

2023

It is with utmost enthusiasm I relay my recent experience with New Orleans & Company.  From our first meeting in July, to the final globally televised Miss Universe event in January, the team at New Orleans & Company consistently proved themselves to be great partners.  Together, we worked to ensure the best possible experience for our staff, crew and the delegations who traveled from around the world to attend the pageant.  For our field production team, when they hit a roadblock or needed creative input, New Orleans & Company stepped in to assist and help pave the way for a smooth production.  Additionally, we were able to access their strong ties to the New Orleans community and the state of Louisiana to maximize the two week period leading up to the event.  They were all generous with their time and guidance.  I have produced Miss Universe events in many countries and cities over the last twenty years and I can say without hesitation, the working relationship with New Orleans & Company was one of the most positive I have ever experienced.
