Testimonials

I wrapped up my annual meeting this weekend and it was a big success. We had gorgeous weather, a great hotel, fabulous partners to help make everything come together. I want to give a huge shout out to Donna Glover, Tynel Foster, Summer Hansen Davey and the entire New Orleans & Company team for their outstanding contribution to our event. We are not a citywide or some high-profile group, but they treated us like royalty from day one. Our meeting was also happening at the same time as this up-and-coming singer named Taylor Swift (I think she'll be big someday LOL), but they never stopped checking in to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed to ensure our event was successful. It was the attention to detail and the little things they did to make us feel valued and to make our attendees feel welcome. So, thank you. And kudos to you; it's true... New Orleans is built to host!

New Orleans and Company knows how to roll out the red carpet for events. More than that, they know how to build relationships that matter and enhance the experience for all the participants. The ELCA Youth Gathering was a giant success due to the work of Allison and Rachel with New Orleans and Company. They welcomed us with open arms and worked their magic behind the scenes to ensure a wonderful event for our 15,000 high school students. They celebrated our successes and problem solved our challenges. Our team leaders love New Orleans for all the obvious reasons – food, culture, music, and more. I love New Orleans for the way the people of this city welcome the stranger. We aren’t strangers anymore! New Orleans is truly a city Built To Host.

- Tammy Jones West | 2024 ELCA Youth Gathering Director

On behalf of myself, Nikki, and the entire NSBA team, I want to express our sincere appreciation for your outstanding support during our 2024 Annual Conference & Expo in New Orleans. Thank you for your assistance with the donation of the remaining tote bags. It’s heartening to know that these items will be repurposed in a useful way at Benjamin Franklin High School and ReStore by Habitat for Humanity. Your commitment to sustainability and community engagement is truly commendable. Additionally, your team’s contributions to the conference were invaluable. The special attention paid during our conference helped create a vibrant atmosphere throughout the event. Once again, thank you for your invaluable support and contributions to our conference. We greatly appreciate everything you and your team have done to make our event a success. We look forward to collaborating again when we return in 2029. 😊

Our Society held its annual conference in New Orleans in April 2024. First, let me say that our New Orleans & Company contact, Libby Fein, is absolutely the best! She was so welcoming and helpful during both our site visit and conference. The New Orleans & Company team is wonderful too, and our staff says thank you! I’ve never worked with a Convention and Visitors Bureau like this, and it was a great experience!

\We had just over 1,000 attendees at our conference, and everyone loved how we incorporated bits of New Orleans culture into it, thought the food, second line, etc. Our attendees had all positive comments about the city, activities, hotel and staff. I just wish I had more time to see more of it!

Thank you again for all your efforts to make our attendees feel welcomed, at home and excited about the city of New Orleans!

- Karla Schultz | Executive Director, Society of Pediatric Psychology

Hey, my name’s Jonathan Howe, and I want to tell you about a recent experience that we had with New Orleans & Company in the city of New Orleans. We had a big event: 20,000 people, scheduled for another city in the Southeastern United States. Unfortunately, they couldn't hold 20,000 people, but New Orleans could. So, we called them up, and in a little under 18 months, we were able to put together an entirely new event in a new city, thanks to the help of New Orleans & Company. It was incredible. We couldn’t be more grateful for the help that we got from the city of New Orleans and New Orleans & Company to help make our event a reality in New Orleans. Our people loved it. They loved the food. They loved the city. They loved the fellowship that they had while they were in the city. And we are excited about the potential of coming back to New Orleans for a future event. If you’re looking for a city to host an event, New Orleans needs to be at the top of your list. The team at New Orleans & Company helped us with everything from hotels to venues to shuttles, transportation—you name it. They were there for us, and I know they’ll be there for you. So once again, New Orleans is a great city for any size event. And I know that at the end, you’ll be satisfied with your experience with New Orleans & Company just like we were, so ‘Laissez les bons temps rouler!

We truly appreciate New Orleans & Company and the New Orleans community and do hope to work it out to return in the not too distant future.

- Kejsi Shahaj | Program Associate, Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange (GPLEX)

We have to say – Kendall and I have been very impressed with your customer service and the complementary resources that you have offered us as event planners. We have not had this level of involvement from a CVB in any other market. We appreciate your support and already looking forward to December!
—  Danial Reed | Vice President of Marketing at E.C. Barton & Company

I don't think there are enough words to thank you for everything you did to make the Creating Change conference a huge success. We have received tremendous feedback that this is one of the best conferences we have ever put on in 36 years. Truly, that is in large part thanks to the city that we chose to hold Creating Change in in 2024.

And your support help advice and hospitality were huge part of what made this conference so special. From the very first time, we reached out, whether it was Danny Linden, our conference Director, or Kathleen Campisano, who handled our ambassador program or me as Communications Director, your generosity of spirit and resources was tremendous.

We knew we had a great partner in you from last August when we held the kickoff reception at the Hilton. As we got closer to the conference date, having your support with outreach to local media, your making it possible for journalists to attend the conference and simply being a place we could always go for an answer, a solution, and often another creative way to promote this very unique gathering that we call Creating Change.

Finally, the social content you shared, as well as the original content you gathered during the conference was greatly appreciated.

You have the gratitude of our entire staff volunteers, and everyone who attended the conference this year. And you've set the bar very very high for your colleagues in Las Vegas!

New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore was once again selected to receive donated materials from this year's Orgill Spring Dealer Market, held in February 2023 at the Morial Convention Center. Orgill, Inc. is the world's largest independent hardlines distributor of hardware materials and had approximately 1100 exhibitors. Exhibitors donated 28 truckloads of materials to the ReStores. We anticipate over $125,000 in sales from the donated materials, which will finance the construction cost of a house in our new development Rising Oaks, a 150-home community on the Westbank. If New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity had not received the donations, 308,000 pounds of materials would have been sent to the landfill. This donation requires a tremendous amount of coordination between Orgill, Morial Convention Center, GES and New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. We are extremely grateful for the continued support by these companies of our mission in the New Orleans area!
—  Richelle Romero | ReStore Donations Director

“New Orleans has always been an attractive location for AACSB’s global membership. “We consider New Orleans a destination that provides a variety of hotel options to accommodate our group size and needs. We’ve held events with 100 to 1,300 attendees. The airport is a short ride to the city center and any hotel location allows for walkable dining and entertainment options. Let’s not forget the phenomenal cuisine and variety New Orleans provides. Overall, the city can be defined as a center of hospitality. You never meet a stranger!”  “New Orleans & Company is by far my favorite CVB to work with,” Alexander says. “Their team is always willing to go above and beyond during site visits, planning stages and show time. We can always count on New Orleans & Company to respond quickly, provide viable resources and connect without prompt. Should you find yourself in New Orleans, you will not be disappointed!”
- Reagan J. Alexander, CMP, Director of Learning and Development | Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), November 2023

On behalf of Kelly and myself, thank you so much for all your help in planning our team offsite. We are so grateful for your partnership and insight into the city. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time in New Orleans. Our team spoke highly of the variety of hotel options, walkability of the city and variety of things to do! Specifically, some things that came up in our conversations were: The airport was a quick ride to the downtown area which is important to many of our clients - The airport has tons of amenities which helps our attendees when delays take place or their group transfer give them more time at the airport - The variety of hotel offerings, there seems to be something for all types of groups which helps as our client base is extremely diverse in requirements - The amount of cultural offerings for groups is so exciting to see as we all love options - The uniqueness New Orleans can bring is so exciting and feels so special. The city tour and cooking school were unforgettable memories and we cannot wait to bring groups there. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have partners like you and we are excited to continue to remind clients why New Orleans works so well for groups. We appreciate all of your time and effort.

“I had the opportunity to accompany a group of students to a pathology conference recently, and it was an unforgettable experience. The conference was a great opportunity for the students to learn more about the field of pathology and to interact with professionals in the field.

The conference was well-organized, with a variety of informative and engaging sessions, presentations, and exhibits. The students were able to attend lectures by experts in the field and learn about the latest research and developments in pathology. They also had the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the presenters.

In addition to the educational aspect of the conference, there were also networking opportunities for the students. They were able to meet with professionals in the field and learn about potential career paths in pathology.

Overall, the pathology conference was a fantastic learning experience for the students, and I believe it will have a lasting impact on their academic and professional lives. The organization of the conference was excellent, and the content was both informative and engaging.”

It is with utmost enthusiasm I relay my recent experience with New Orleans & Company. From our first meeting in July, to the final globally televised Miss Universe event in January, the team at New Orleans & Company consistently proved themselves to be great partners. Together, we worked to ensure the best possible experience for our staff, crew and the delegations who traveled from around the world to attend the pageant. For our field production team, when they hit a roadblock or needed creative input, New Orleans & Company stepped in to assist and help pave the way for a smooth production. Additionally, we were able to access their strong ties to the New Orleans community and the state of Louisiana to maximize the two week period leading up to the event. They were all generous with their time and guidance. I have produced Miss Universe events in many countries and cities over the last twenty years and I can say without hesitation, the working relationship with New Orleans & Company was one of the most positive I have ever experienced.

“Our Annual Meeting in NOLA was a big success. The energy of the city brought out the enthusiasm of the attendees. We had the largest attendance in 20 years!  The food, music and people combine to make a perfect meeting and networking location.  The Marriott was outstanding in every way.  We will definitely be looking to come back.”

Hosting WEFTEC 2022 - the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF’s) annual technical exhibition and conference – in New Orleans felt like an eagerly anticipated family reunion with the City’s hospitality community. Through our partnership with New Orleans & Company and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, we elevated WEFTEC participants’ experience and exceeded their expectations. Our shared “wins” included activating the convention registration desk at the airport for convenient badge pickup and engaging with local organizations like Reconcile New Orleans, who hosted an inspirational gathering for WEF’s Board of Trustees at Café Reconcile, and the New Orleans Food Truck Coalition, who piloted service on the pedestrian park outside of the convention center. We look forward to returning for WEFTEC 2024!

“The American Diabetes Association (ADA) was thrilled to be back in-person for the first time since 2019 for the 82nd Scientific Sessions, and we could not have been more excited to be back in New Orleans! The entire team was fantastic to work with and extremely available for our many questions. Our attendees, exhibitors, staff, and vendors all enjoyed the New Orleans hospitality, food, and entertainment. We especially appreciated the Friday evening Networking Reception second-line with stilt walkers and wonderful music. ADA looks forward to returning to New Orleans in 2026!”
- Laura Witowski, Director of Convention Operations | American Diabetes Association, June 2022

The Convention Center team was excellent to work with during pre planning and on site. From the sales team to the production team, all team members were knowledgeable and accessible to AUA staff. It was a unique experience as they helped make our stressful jobs fun. It truly was an enjoyable experience to be back in person in such a fantastic location. We felt supported and welcomed. Quite frankly, we could not have asked for a better experience from this team. New Orleans & Company worked so hard to make our experience a great one. Sallee Pavlovich and Marybeth Guarisco ensured AUA’s social functions went off without a hitch and that our VIP’s felt welcomed in New Orleans. The team also worked closely with the hotel community to prepare them for AUA’s meeting. We are so appreciative of their support.
—  Janet Skorepa, Executive Vice President | American Urological Association, May, 2022

“Planning for AORN Expo 2022 was highly collaborative – the evolving event landscape and keeping up with best practice health & safety protocols were challenges that the Convention Center and New Orleans & Co. helped us stay on top of. Everyone on the team was endlessly patient with our many questions and requests for information & so helpful in sharing what they were seeing work well at other conferences as face-to-face meetings came back. The Convention Center Team is top-notch and I so appreciate our partnership! The team works hard, they care about your event’s success as much as you do and they are fun to be around. I always leave any conversation with Elaine in a better mood than I was before. Cassie is an incredible Event Manager and such a joy to work with.”
- Emily O'Connell, CMP; Director of Meetings at AORN | Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, March 2022

My experience with New Orleans & Company was awesome! Their team is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. They listen and work to achieve your goals and objectives. The convention center staff were equally as awesome to work with. Everyone was a team player and worked to make the Commodity Classic a success. If you are able to book your meeting in New Orleans you can expect a welcoming and professional experience from their hospitality team and of course some of the best food around! Thanks for helping make the 2022 Commodity Classic a success.
