I wrapped up my annual meeting this weekend and it was a big success. We had gorgeous weather, a great hotel, fabulous partners to help make everything come together. I want to give a huge shout out to Donna Glover, Tynel Foster, Summer Hansen Davey and the entire New Orleans & Company team for their outstanding contribution to our event. We are not a citywide or some high-profile group, but they treated us like royalty from day one. Our meeting was also happening at the same time as this up-and-coming singer named Taylor Swift (I think she'll be big someday LOL), but they never stopped checking in to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed to ensure our event was successful. It was the attention to detail and the little things they did to make us feel valued and to make our attendees feel welcome. So, thank you. And kudos to you; it's true... New Orleans is built to host!

The team at the Ernest N Morial convention center and New Orleans and Company was incredibly helpful and professional during our event. The team was thoughtful, responsive, and quick to act as needed. The city is always so welcoming it's easy to have a great event in New Orleans!

Hey, my name’s Jonathan Howe, and I want to tell you about a recent experience that we had with New Orleans & Company in the city of New Orleans. We had a big event: 20,000 people, scheduled for another city in the Southeastern United States. Unfortunately, they couldn't hold 20,000 people, but New Orleans could. So, we called them up, and in a little under 18 months, we were able to put together an entirely new event in a new city, thanks to the help of New Orleans & Company. It was incredible. We couldn’t be more grateful for the help that we got from the city of New Orleans and New Orleans & Company to help make our event a reality in New Orleans. Our people loved it. They loved the food. They loved the city. They loved the fellowship that they had while they were in the city. And we are excited about the potential of coming back to New Orleans for a future event. If you’re looking for a city to host an event, New Orleans needs to be at the top of your list. The team at New Orleans & Company helped us with everything from hotels to venues to shuttles, transportation—you name it. They were there for us, and I know they’ll be there for you. So once again, New Orleans is a great city for any size event. And I know that at the end, you’ll be satisfied with your experience with New Orleans & Company just like we were, so ‘Laissez les bons temps rouler!

First and foremost, thank you for all of your help and support leading up to and during Animal Care Expo 2023. We had a very successful conference and believe that all of the attendees, sponsors, speakers, exhibitors and staff had an amazing experience in New Orleans, leaving refreshed and ready to continue their work protecting animals! We truly appreciate New Orleans & Company and the New Orleans community and do hope to work it out to return in the not too distant future.

We have to say – Kendall and I have been very impressed with your customer service and the complementary resources that you have offered us as event planners. We have not had this level of involvement from a CVB in any other market. We appreciate your support and already looking forward to December!

New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore was once again selected to receive donated materials from this year's Orgill Spring Dealer Market, held in February 2023 at the Morial Convention Center. Orgill, Inc. is the world's largest independent hardlines distributor of hardware materials and had approximately 1100 exhibitors. Exhibitors donated 28 truckloads of materials to the ReStores. We anticipate over $125,000 in sales from the donated materials, which will finance the construction cost of a house in our new development Rising Oaks, a 150-home community on the Westbank. If New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity had not received the donations, 308,000 pounds of materials would have been sent to the landfill. This donation requires a tremendous amount of coordination between Orgill, Morial Convention Center, GES and New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. We are extremely grateful for the continued support by these companies of our mission in the New Orleans area!

On behalf of Kelly and myself, thank you so much for all your help in planning our team offsite. We are so grateful for your partnership and insight into the city. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time in New Orleans. Our team spoke highly of the variety of hotel options, walkability of the city and variety of things to do! Specifically, some things that came up in our conversations were: The airport was a quick ride to the downtown area which is important to many of our clients - The airport has tons of amenities which helps our attendees when delays take place or their group transfer give them more time at the airport - The variety of hotel offerings, there seems to be something for all types of groups which helps as our client base is extremely diverse in requirements - The amount of cultural offerings for groups is so exciting to see as we all love options - The uniqueness New Orleans can bring is so exciting and feels so special. The city tour and cooking school were unforgettable memories and we cannot wait to bring groups there. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have partners like you and we are excited to continue to remind clients why New Orleans works so well for groups. We appreciate all of your time and effort.

It is with utmost enthusiasm I relay my recent experience with New Orleans & Company. From our first meeting in July, to the final globally televised Miss Universe event in January, the team at New Orleans & Company consistently proved themselves to be great partners. Together, we worked to ensure the best possible experience for our staff, crew and the delegations who traveled from around the world to attend the pageant. For our field production team, when they hit a roadblock or needed creative input, New Orleans & Company stepped in to assist and help pave the way for a smooth production. Additionally, we were able to access their strong ties to the New Orleans community and the state of Louisiana to maximize the two week period leading up to the event. They were all generous with their time and guidance. I have produced Miss Universe events in many countries and cities over the last twenty years and I can say without hesitation, the working relationship with New Orleans & Company was one of the most positive I have ever experienced.

Hosting WEFTEC 2022 - the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF’s) annual technical exhibition and conference – in New Orleans felt like an eagerly anticipated family reunion with the City’s hospitality community. Through our partnership with New Orleans & Company and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, we elevated WEFTEC participants’ experience and exceeded their expectations. Our shared “wins” included activating the convention registration desk at the airport for convenient badge pickup and engaging with local organizations like Reconcile New Orleans, who hosted an inspirational gathering for WEF’s Board of Trustees at Café Reconcile, and the New Orleans Food Truck Coalition, who piloted service on the pedestrian park outside of the convention center. We look forward to returning for WEFTEC 2024!

The Convention Center team was excellent to work with during pre planning and on site. From the sales team to the production team, all team members were knowledgeable and accessible to AUA staff. It was a unique experience as they helped make our stressful jobs fun. It truly was an enjoyable experience to be back in person in such a fantastic location. We felt supported and welcomed. Quite frankly, we could not have asked for a better experience from this team. New Orleans & Company worked so hard to make our experience a great one. Sallee Pavlovich and Marybeth Guarisco ensured AUA’s social functions went off without a hitch and that our VIP’s felt welcomed in New Orleans. The team also worked closely with the hotel community to prepare them for AUA’s meeting. We are so appreciative of their support.

My experience with New Orleans & Company was awesome! Their team is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. They listen and work to achieve your goals and objectives. The convention center staff were equally as awesome to work with. Everyone was a team player and worked to make the Commodity Classic a success.
