World-renowned Audubon Zoo is a 58-acre beautifully landscaped setting in historic Uptown New Orleans with award-winning natural habitat exhibits and a wide variety of more than 1,700 striking, rare and endangered animals representing more than 350 species of Africa, Central America, the Louisiana Swamp, and more. This AZA-accredited Top 10 zoo provides an unforgettable and authentic New Orleans experience. Cool Zoo with a lazy river, water soakers and slides is open seasonally.

Wild Encounters  
Go Behind the Scenes with Audubon Nature Institute’s Wild Encounters! These add-on experiences to your visit are unique, fun, and meaningful ways to meet some amazing animals and learn about our extraordinary conservation work. Wild Encounters at the Zoo include Orangutan Family Fun, Alpaca Palooza, Black Bear Bonanza, and Jammin’ with Jaguars. Availability is limited and reservations are recommended.

Zoo Tickets 
Audubon Nature Institute offers several different ticketing options for visiting the Zoo and sister attractions, Audubon Aquarium and Audubon Insectarium. Single admission tickets for the Zoo are $30-$35 for adults and $25-$30 for youths aged 2-12. Visit the Zoo plus the Aquarium or Insectarium for $50/adult or $45/youth. Visit all three attractions for $60/adult and $55/youth. Children under two can visit for free. Senior discounts are available.
