2024 International Convention
Vocations: Ask And You Shall Receive
August 8-11, 2024
Serra International is a group of men and women from around the world who vigorously respond to the call to promote vocations to the ministerial priesthood and consecrated life in the Catholic Church. Started in 1935, Serra has grown to have over 1100 clubs in 46 countries. It is recognized by the Vatican as the official lay organization of the Catholic Church around the world to pray for vocations. Every year Serrans from around the world converge for their annual international convention to share different avenues to ensure that our church is constantly renewed with vibrant, happy and talented clergy and religious. This year they will converge on New Orleans Aug. 8-11 at the Marriott Hotel on world-famous Canal St.
Transportation to/from airport
The following options will be available to the attendees:
- Taxi service ($36 for 1-2 passengers; $15/person for 3 or more passengers)
- Uber/Lyft
- Shuttle service is available for large groups. Go to info@burtontransit.com for more information.
Transportation to/from WWII Museum
A side trip to the museum is available on Thursday from 9-4 pm. Shuttle service from the hotel (mini-buses) will be provided throughout this period.
Transportation to and from St. Louis Cathedral (5 blocks)
On Friday from 3:45 to 5 pm, the following options will be available to the attendees:
- Walk
- Shuttle service (mini-buses) will be provided
- Riverfront Streetcar Line (Red cars) – $1.25/person
- Bike taxis. The number to call is 504-891-3441. $5 for six blocks, then $1/person/block after that, cash or Venmo.
At Hotel – Discounted prices: 2-6 hrs -$18, 6-10 hrs -$22, Overnight -$35

After Mass at St. Louis Cathedral
Options within 3 blocks of the cathedral (check websites for location and menus). Reservations are encouraged as 2 other conventions will take place at the same time, at different hotels.

WWII Museum
Discounted tickets for admission are $18. To also view the movie “Beyond All Boundaries” the tickets are $27. Tickets will be available when you check in for the convention.
