Attend one of the chicest galas the Audubon Zoo has to offer at Whitney Zoo-to-Do. Held annually the first Friday of May, Zoo-to-Do is an adult only, black tie fundraiser benefiting the Audubon Institute. Dance under the Oaks while enjoying fine-dining, premium cocktail and top-notch music.
Since 1972, the Audubon Zoo transforms for a night to a romantic and lively atmosphere.
Men come adorned in white linen suits or black tie while women wear cocktail attire. Show-stopping musical talent is promised every year – from the Temptations and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy to the Village People and Jessie’s Girls.
More than 70 famous New Orleans restaurants participate to serve rich samplings of local favorites, as well as over 30 specialty and full service bars.
The night wouldn’t be complete without the amazing auction prizes available. From recreational packages and dining experiences to jewelry and even a car, the auction items never disappoint.
The night usually begins are 8pm and ends around midnight. Ticket prices and packages vary. Tickets are limited and must be purchased ahead of time. Parking is free and available in the Audubon Zoo parking lot.
