Les Lions de la Reconstruction
Les Lions de la Reconstruction is a Tricentennial Events that tells the story of free people of color in 19th century New Orleans.  Explore and follow along with this piece that unravels how freedom fighters and composers petitioned President Lincoln for the right to vote.

Featured music by free composers of color will include Edmond Dédé, Basile Bares, Charles Lucien Lambert and Samuel Snaer.

VIP Pre-Talk Sessions
VIP guests are invited to participate in a discussion with descendants of heroic free people of color portrayed in the opera. Mark Roudané and Barbara Trevigne will join guests for an intimate conversation about Dr. Louis Charles Roudanez and Paul Trevigne.
