ABOUT:

The third annual Mac n Cheese Festival returns to Armstrong Park this October. Sample Mac N Cheese dishes of many varieties from more than a dozen local restaurants. Live music, drinks and an art market complete the day. Head to Treme on October 12th for one of the cheesiest days of the year!

Activities and Music

This festival is fun for the whole family. Dance to favorite live bands from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm while children enjoy the Unified Play Area. This year, the festival will have an Artist Market. Shop for something special to take home from numerous local artists. Check back for the 2019 lineup and additional details.

Food

Stay tuned for this years food vendors. A few non-mac n cheese vendors will be present as well, including vegetarian and vegan items. Past vendors have included The Big Cheezy, Flamingo A Go-Go, Frey Smoked Meat Co., Superior Seafood, House of Blues, Manning's Sports Bar, Oceana Grill, Semolina, and more.

Contests

The mac n' cheese dishes will be judged by professional and celebrity judges. Past winners have included Gonzo's Smokehouse & BBQ for their Brisket Mac and Superior Seafood for their Crawfish Mac. See who takes home the next big prize. New in 2019, the festival will have a Mac n Cheese eating contest! Applications open September 4th to enter. 

Admission

The Fest is FREE to enter, with food and drink tickets available to purchase on site. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics Louisiana. Check out their official website for more information.
