About New Orleans Pride

Every June, events that unify and celebrate LGBTQ people and allies can be found all throughout New Orleans, all month long. Parades, parties, fundraisers, community events and everything in between exemplify the welcoming and inclusive culture our city is known for. Be sure to look out for the signature events below, and keep an eye on the official events calendar for even more Pride happenings. The local NOLA Pride 365 Facebook group is also a valuable resource for staying up-to-date on upcoming LGBTQ events.

New Orleans Pride Weekend Events:

New Orleans Pride Weekend is June 7-9, 2024. One of our most exciting annual traditions is PrideFest, a block party hosted outside The Phoenix Bar on Elysian Fields on June 8. Queer people representing a wide range of subcultures and communities come together for a day of revelry and fearless expression. After enjoying the live entertainment, food, drinks, and shared joy, stay tuned for the NOLA Pride Parade, which starts right there at Pride Fest and runs through the Marigny and French Quarter. The Fest starts at 11 a.m., followed by the parade at 7 p.m.

New Orleans Black Pride Weekend coincides with New Orleans Pride Weekend and hosts several events that specifically celebrate queer people of color. In addition to pool and dance parties, the calendar of events also includes a welcome party and “fam”ily reunion picnic. Black Pride Weekend is June 6-9, 2024. The New Orleans Black Pride Community Festival is back on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 1-8 p.m. at Armstrong Park! Enjoy a day full of music, performances, art, food, health resources, vendors, and more.

Additional New Orleans Pride Month Events:

  • The Black Queer Legacy Summit is a day filled with insightful workshops, engaging panels, networking opportunities, and vibrant exhibits celebrating the rich legacy of the Black queer community on June 7, 2024.
  • Longue Vue Family Equality Day is family-friendly Pride celebration in a beautiful setting on June 9, 2024.
  • New Orleans Area Habitat Pride Build is an excellent opportunity to give back while networking and connecting with other community members. This year's Pride Builds will take place on June 1, 14-15, and 21-22, 2024.

New Orleans Pride Tickets:

PrideFest and the parade are free to attend. Many organizations and businesses host LGBTQ-specific events throughout the month, which are sometimes free and sometimes ticketed. When planning your Pride itinerary, it’s a good idea to double-check entry fees in case you need cash on hand or tickets in advance.

Where would we be if we didn't accept people as they are?
