About Lucia di Lammermoor 

Lucia di Lammermoor is a dramatic comedy that follows the tragic love story of Lucia and Edgardo, who belong to opposing houses in Scotland. Lucia’s brother Enrico forces Lucia to marry another Scottish nobleman, Arturo, and deceives his sister by saying Edgardo has betrayed her by marrying someone else.  

March 22 and 24,2024, Lucia di Lammermoor will be presented by the New Orleans Opera. Lucia will be played by Katrina Galka, with supporting stars Yongzhao Yu playing Edgardo, and Alexander Birch Elliott playing Enrico. The New Orleans Opera will partner with The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra for this performance of Lucia di Lammermoor, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
