Water Wednesdays, hosted by the Louisiana Children’s Museum, are a great opportunity to spend time with family and get out of the summer heat. Not only does playing with water provide children with opportunities to practice the scientific process, but it can facilitate children’s understanding of math concepts (such as more/less, equal to/different, full/empty) as well. On Water Wednesdays, the LCM offers a variety of areas for children to explore with water, such as the Move With the River Gallery and the water table in the Toddler Landscape.
Water Wednesdays take place every Wednesday at 11 AM for children 4 years or older. Splish Splash programming takes place every Wednesday at 10 AM for children under 4 years old.
Water Wednesdays will be hosted by the Louisiana Children’s Museum at 15 Henry Thomas Dr, New Orleans, LA 70124.
Water Wednesdays do not require registration, but attendees must purchase an entry ticket to the LCM. To purchase admission to the Louisiana Children’s Museum, visit the link here.
