"I Came, I Saw" A Solo Exhibition by Nyssa Frank

September 14, 2024

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
ABOUT:

"Vini Vici"
This exhibition is dedicated to "seeing without conquering." Most of the time when people see abstract art they try to put it back together, to categorize and classify things, as we also do in our everyday lives. Let us step away from that need. Is it innate? Is it America? Wherever it is derived from, can we just look at something as it is? Furthermore, can we look at a person as an individual, without trying to define and judge them? My art is abstract. it is not meant to have a clear meaning, it is not meant to "make sense" or fit in any box. It just is.
The exhibition will feature both new and older paintings sealed in resin, as well as some clay masks.
there will be some poetry readings as well!
