Calling all cheese and wine connoisseurs: the Inaugural Fête des Fromages is November 17 at the New Orleans Jazz Museum from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For one day only, indulge in fine wines and artisan cheese from various parts of the world at the only cheese festival in the South. Hosted by the French American Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Coast, this fall festival will feature international, domestic and Louisiana cheese samples. Red, white, and rosé wine imports from Europe will be available for pairing along with craft beers, ciders and an assortment of waters.
In addition to cheese samples, Fête des Fromages will also present Le Marché, an onsite retail shop. Guests will be able to purchase cheese, cheese boards, coolers and more.
Held on the grounds of the New Orleans Jazz Museum, formerly known as the Old U.S. Mint, Fête des Fromages will feature live chef demonstrations, Cheese 101 seminars and wine pairings with world-renowned cheese expert Liz Thorpe, local restaurants preparing delicious cheesy bites and a live music stage.
“Fête Rouge” general admission tickets for Fête des Fromages are $25 for early-bird pricing until Oct. 15 and $30 after. Rouge admission includes unlimited cheese samplings, unlimited festival reentry and entrance to the New Orleans Jazz Museum.
“Fête Blanche” (Adult Only) tickets at $65, early admission at 10 a.m. Inclusive of unlimited cheese samplings, two wine/beer/cider tickets, a Formaticum cheese tasting notebook, unlimited reentry, entrance to the New Orleans Jazz Museum, a complimentary cooler bag and bottled waters.
“Fête Bleue” VIP (Adult Only) tickets at $125, early admission at 10 a.m. Inclusive of unlimited cheese samplings, VIP lounge with light brunch, one pre-registered seminar/Cheese 101 class with wine pairing, a Formaticum cheese tasting notebook, unlimited reentry, entrance to the New Orleans Jazz Museum, a complimentary cooler bag and unlimited wine, beer, ciders and bottled waters.
