Crawfish Mambo is a community-wide one-day festival celebrating two favorite Louisiana traditions: crawfish and music. Every May, UNO brings thousands of festival goers to their campus to indulge is one of New Orleans' signature foods.
Crawfish Mambo is New Orleans’ largest crawfish cook-off and features ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT boiled crawfish all day plus the best of live local music. Other food and beverage are available for purchase for those who are do not partake in crawfish.
More than 50 four-member boil teams will compete for $1000 in prize money, the Championship Paddle, and bragging rights for a year. A panel of celebrity judges will determine the winner of the Cook-off Competition; attendees will also vote to determine the “Crowd Favorite”. Each team is also invited to compete for the Best Decorated Booth Award. A Crawfish Peel n' Eat competition is also an exciting event to participate in!
