Join us this summer for the second annual series of Summer Sundays at Crevasse 22 | River House themed around the Landscapes and Monsters exhibition currently on view.
This exhibition, located in the River House Art Center, explores the beauty of southeastern Louisiana’s natural landscape as well as the ecological threats to our region due to coastal erosion and rising sea levels.
Participating artists include old masters such as John James Anderson and Walter Anderson as well as contemporaries such as Pippin Frisbie-Calder, Tina Girouard, Jonathan Mayers, Gina Phillips, and Michelle Varisco. Other exhibition elements in the River House Art Center include significant work by regional wild life carvers; and landscape photographs by Rudolph Radlinger.
Sculptures in the Crevasse 22 sculpture garden include works by Raine Bedsole, Luis Colmenares, Clifton Faust, Donna Dodson and Andy Moerlein, Mitchell Gaudet, Gene Koss, Jennifer Odem, Chris Salcedo, Robert Tannen, and the St. Bernard Art Guild.
Each event features artist talks, demonstrations, art making opportunities, tours, and free exploration of the art center, sculpture garden, and nature walks through the adjacent woods. Light snacks and drinks are provided.
