About "American Democracy: A Great Leap of Faith”
“American Democracy: A Great Leap of Faith” is a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. The exhibition explores the founding fathers’ mission to create a nation free from monarchy and aristocracy and unite the common people for a more equal society and equitable government. The exhibition features multimedia experiences, an immersive design, and artifacts that date back to the early 1800s. Through these displays, “American Democracy: A Great Leap of Faith” discovers that self-government relies on every citizen’s active participation to achieve a “more perfect union.” The exhibit will be on view at The Historic New Orleans Collection from June 17, 2023 – October 8, 2023. Admission is free.
