55 SOUTH Music Festival

The evening features live performances by modern music icons Tortoise, Kumasi Afrobeat Orchestra, proto-trance jazz quintet SML, and psychedelic world twang artist Gitkin. Plus, DJ sets by Chicago House legend Chez Damier with lead up support from the Windy City’s Shaun J. Wright as well as New Orleans’ own Quickweave and phlegm.

Join us in the courtyard for live music and at Evangeline Hall for an Afterglow Dance Party with DJ sets, plus food and vinyl pop-ups, merch, and more.

Named after the interstate connecting Chicago and New Orleans, ‘55 South’ spotlights artists from Chicago’s International Anthem Recording Co. as well as local New Orleans talent.

This year’s event is presented by Diplomatico Rum, Lallier Champagne, International Anthem, and Hotel Saint Vincent. A portion of the proceeds from 55 South benefits MACCNO—The Music & Culture Coalition of New Orleans.
