The Holiday Tours at Gallier House features period holiday decorations, including an example of a 19th-century Creole-style Christmas tree. Tours will discuss 19th-century Christmas celebrations in New Orleans, including gift-giving, holiday meals, displaying and decorating Christmas trees, and how the season’s activities would impact the lives of the enslaved people laboring on the property.
