June 11, 2024

8:30am-5:30pm

Pastry World Cup

(20-30) volunteers for:

  • Prepare all the tableware that is needed for the tasting
  • Set up the jury tables, with tablecloths, glasses, knives, forks, spoons, etc.  
  • Serve the tasting Jury the plates the I.O.C has prepared
  • Clear the jury table and set it up for the following tasting
  • Bring plates and tableware to the backstage
  • Clean plates and cutlery

(2) Maître D’s for:

  • Manage and oversee cutting and chopping, table setting, service, and volunteer activities
  • The Maitre D’ – together with candidates and the Committee’s chefs – will dress all the plates

June 12, 2024

8:30am-5:30pm

Bocuse d’Or

(16-20) volunteers for:

  • Prepare all the tableware that is needed for the tasting
  • Set up the jury tables, with tablecloths, glasses, knives, forks, spoons, etc.  
  • During the tasting, serve plates from the selected theme. After each tasting, clean plates and cutlery

(2) Maître D’s for:

  • Manage and oversee cutting and chopping, table setting, service, and volunteer activities
  • The Maitre D’ – together with candidates and the Committee’s chefs – will dress all the plates

7am-5:30pm

Bocuse d’Or

(8) Commis Assistants for:

  • Upon arrival, Commis Assistants will be assigned to a kitchen number/candidate.  These are randomly selected by the I.O.C.
  • Work will depend on the teams’ needs and requests
  • Work and prep in the kitchen and are allowed to go backstage,. They are with the team from the beginning to the end of the 5:35 hours of the contest.
  • This year, candidates will have to present 2 pieces of wild boar rack together with 2 garnishes on the main platter, and will also serve, in English, the share dish in a bowl, on the side.
  • Serve jury members and honorary table.
  • In total, each candidate will plate 10 bowls and plates
    • 2 will be served to the honorary table
    • 6 will be served to the jury
    • 1 will have to go straight to the TV studio
    • 1 will be presented to the audience and jury by one of the Committee members
